Certification Coach Training

What:

  • CCS Coach Certification is one of the highest levels of training on can receive for ministrial coaching.  Our advanced coaches have many years of ministry and coaching experience that is helpful for the novice and veteran.
  • Training, mentoring, and extensive guided practice in the art of coaching (in conjunction with CoachNet International Ministries) leading to certification as a qualified Church Coaching Solutions Coach.
  • We partner with Bob Logan and his CoachNet organization. CCS has been licensed by CoachNet to train, equip, and certify coaches. In church planting circles, most know about Chuck Ridley's research based profile of successful church planters. Recently, Chuck Ridley and Bob Logan teamed up and created the profile of highly competent coaches.
  • Our training will help you develop excellence in the skills practiced by the highest level of coaches in the world. The certification process concludes with real world evaluation and steps for continued growth. And you'll have the tools, customized solutions and the support you need.

  • November 21st, 2008 - Basic Training (required for Certification Training)
  • November 22nd, 2008 - Certification Training

Cost:

The cost for the entire training, mentoring, and certification system is $2,500 (7 to 9 months). Here is an overview of the elements of the coach-training process:

  • Four days of on-site training in coaching
  • Nine sessions of professional coaching as "you are coached" and "as you coach others"
  • Coaching materials/handbooks
  • Online coaching tools
  • Coaching feedback systems
  • Self -understanding tools
  • Individualized coaching development plans

Recommended Deadline: 2 months before event (September 21st, 2008)

This training will equip you to be an excellent coach. Certified coaches are not only more effective and capable coaches, they also typically receive higher pay for their ministry of coaching.

Overview of Coach Certification Training

Coaching Orientation:

  • Read Coaching 101, by Logan and Carleton
  • Experience three coaching sessions with an experienced/certified coach-mentor (and training materials)
  • Familiarize yourself with the CoachNet website

Initial Coach Training:

  • Two day training workshop
  • Study the Coaching 101 Handbook
  • DiSC profile expertise.

Coaching Experience:

  • Work with an experienced, certified coach-mentor for another six sessions over a six month period to grow in your coaching capacity
  • Guidance as you coach 2 other people
  • Online coach assessment through www.coachnet.org
  • Ongoing coaching feedback from field work

Concluding Training - Certification Granted:

  • Concluding workshop six months after initial training focused on your coach competencies
  • Design of personal coach development plan

Ongoing Certification:

  • Maintain CoachNet subscription to access latest resources
  • Engage in lifelong learning to improve your coaching ministry
